Want to set up a follow-up task as soon as you send a quote? How about updating the costs to make sure the pricing is correct? When you complete a quote, many options exist to increase your sales opportunities. Let’s explore them.
1. After adding items, select “Complete Quote” to view more quote details. Explore our resource center for more information on completing a quote.
2. Additional resources can be found in our resource center. The list of commands includes:
- Done – Complete the quote
- Refresh – Update the quote to reflect changes
- Edit – Make changes to the quote such as adding new parts or operations
- Copy – Copy the quote
- Send – Send a report to a customer
- Task – Create a task, activity, or event for this quote
- Create RFQ – Request a quote from a preferred vendor
- Won – Capture the quote data for reporting won quotes
- Lose – Capture the quote data for reporting lost quotes
- To Order – Change the status of the quote to order.
- More – Options include saving the quote to a configurator, price list and more.
3. You can also search for different quotes using the “Find Quote” search bar. Search by quote number or use the directional arrows to cycle through quotes.
4. Next, let’s add a task to ensure we follow up with the customer. This is a commonly used command to help organize your quotes. Select “Task” then choose “Add Task.”
5. Fill in the parameters for the task. Let’s schedule a follow-up in one week. Select “Add Task” to add it to the home page in SecturaFAB.
6. Let’s return to the complete quote screen. Use “Export” to extract a .zip file containing the data of this quote. Alternatively, download a report by selecting “Print” and selecting from the standard reports.
7. Another common command is reloading costs to make sure the costs are up to date. Select “Cost” to begin.
8. A complete list of costs related to the quote is located here. Select “Edit” to change costs related to the operations. Let’s edit the rate for our Fiber-Run.
9. Change the Fiber-Run rate from $75 an hour to $115. Select “Update.”
10. Let’s check if other costs have been updated within the organization. Select “Reload Costs” to automatically update all the costs.
11. Notice that the Fiber-Setup cost has been automatically updated from $75 to $100. Select “View” to return to the quote details screen.
12. Select “Send” and choose from a list of default reports to send to your customer. Learn more about how to integrate your email in our resource center.
