Do you have repeat work? Streamline that process by searching for quotes and reusing them to send a quote quickly. Create revisions to meet customers’ needs when the project changes and save that information once to ensure it can be used again. Begin by watching the video and following the guide. Let’s explore.
1. Select “Quotes” from the homepage.
2. For this example, let’s copy the latest quote from our customer Acme. Highlight the quote and select “Copy.”
3. The copy will then display as the most recent quote. When a quote is copied, the sales rep will adjust to the user who copied the quote, for this it is now “Sales.”
4. Select “Edit” on the highlighted quote. You can also select the quote number directly to be brought to the quote details screen. Next, let’s explore revisions.
Creating a Revision
1. Copying a quote is often used to resend repeat work to customers. A revision is used when an existing quote changes, such as a customer requesting an increased quantity of parts. Let’s create a revision with a price break to account for the increased part request. Select the “Copy” dropdown and then select “Create Rev.” Learn more about the quote summary options in our resource center.
2. The quote number has changed to include a revision number. Let’s add an internal description such as “Price Break” to clarify this quote revision.
3. Let’s add a price break to the items. Learn more about price breaks in our resource center.
4. Complete the quote. The revision of the quote created will remain open and the copied quote will be closed. This cleans up your quotes and ensures the most recent up-to-date quote used remains open.
Congratulations! You now know how to search and copy a quote. You also learned how creating a revision can speed up your quote process when the project requirements change. Explore our resource center for more information on SecturaFAB.
