Email authentication and setup can help automate your communication. Easily send and receive emails in SecturaFAB and ditch the need for multiple windows; allowing you to send quotes quickly and directly without having to open your email client.
First, you’ll authenticate the email plugin for Gmail or Outlook. This setup only needs to happen once.
Then, you can set up email by user or by organization.

Email Authentication
1. In the steps below we will authenticate a new plugin for an Outlook email. Select “Settings."
2. Select “Plugins” within the Customization settings.
3. If the plugin is installed it will be visible in the “Installed Plug-ins” tab. Let’s install the Outlook plug-in as it is not visible. Select “Store.”
4. Select “Install” on the Outlook plugin. Learn about our other plug-ins in our resource center.
5. “Save” to begin authentication.
6. Select “Authenticate.”
7. Follow the prompts from Outlook. Once completed, you will receive a success message from SecturaFAB.
Now that we have authenticated, we are ready to explore the options of email setup. Next, let’s set up the ability to send quotes using your personal email address.
Set up a Personal Email Address
1. Select “My Profile” from the user dropdown menu.
2. Select “Email.”
3. Select “Add Email Address.”
Set up Personal Email Address (Outlook)
Note: This works for most generic integrations. Differences may occur due to internal IT restrictions. If you have any trouble with the below, contact your internal IT department to validate your email configuration.
Account Setup:
- Account Name: The name associated with this email.
- Description: A brief description of this email account.
- Email Address: Your Office365 email address.
- Reply To Address: If the email address you want your customer to reply to is different than your email address, enter it here. Otherwise, leave this blank.
- Username: Your Office365 address.
- Password: Your Office365 password.
Receiving Emails:
- Incoming Mail Server: outlook.office365.com
- IMAP Port: 993
- Security Protocol: SSL/TSL
- SSL Protocol: Auto
- Authentication: Auto
- Folder: Inbox
- Read Emails: Depending on IT restrictions, select this box for SecturaFAB to import emails into “Quote Requests.”
Sending Emails:
- Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.office365.com
- SMTP Port: 587
- Security Protocol: STARTTLS
- SSL Protocol: Auto
- Authentication: OAuth2
- Connection: Connection-Outlook, or the new authorization name used when authenticating your email.
- You can use the Send Test Email button to confirm your setup is complete. Enter any email address to send a test email.
Set up a Personal Email Address (Gmail)
Note: This works for most generic integrations. Differences may occur due to internal IT restrictions. Contact your internal IT department to validate your email configuration if you run into any blockers with the below standard setup.
Account Setup:
- Account Name: The name associated with this email.
- Description: A brief description of this email account.
- Email Address: Your Gmail email address.
- Reply To Address: If the email address you want your customer to reply to is different than your email address, enter it here. Otherwise, leave this blank.
- Username: Your Gmail address or username.
- Password: Your Gmail password.
Receiving Emails:
- Incoming Mail Server: imap.gmail.com
- IMAP Port: 993
- Security Protocol: SSL/TSL
- SSL Protocol: Auto
- Authentication: Auto
- Folder: Inbox
- Read Emails: Depending on IT restrictions, select this box for SecturaFAB to import emails into “Quote Requests.”
Sending Emails:
- Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.gmail.com

- Security Protocol: STARTTLS
- SSL Protocol: Auto
- Authentication: OAuth2
- Connection: Connection-Gmail, or the new authorization name used when authenticating your email.
Set up an Email per Organization
For your organization to send and receive emails, there is an additional step to set up an email server on SecturaFAB. If you need help with this step, please contact us using the support chat.
1. From the settings menu, select “Email Server” within the Organization Settings.
Receiving Emails:
- From Email Address: This will be the email address that will be used to send the email.
- Reply To Address: If left blank it will use the From Email address to set as the Reply to email.
- User Name: The user name to login to the mail server. This should be the same as your email address.
- Incoming Main Server: The IMAP Email server name.
- Security Protocol: Encryption method to use when retrieving emails.
- SSL Protocol: SSL Protocol to use when retrieving emails.
- Authentication: The Authentication type to use when connected to the mail server.
- Folder: Folder to read.
- Read Emails: Read emails from your email account.
Sending Emails:
- Outgoing Mail Server: SMTP Server name.
- SMTP Port: SMTP port to use when sending emails.
- Security Protocol: Encryption method to use when sending emails.
- SSL Protocol: SSL Protocol to use when sending emails.
- Authentication: The Authentication type to use when connected to the mail server.
- Use as CC: Include this email address as a CC when sending emails.
- Use as BCC: Include this email address as a BCC when sending emails.
- Connection: The connection to use when using OAuth2 Authentication.
- Test Email: Type in the email address to send a test email.
