Does your customer request parts without providing a CAD file? SecturaFAB provides an extensive shape library to ensure you can send a quote for odd jobs and to customers who do not provide a CAD file. Begin by watching the video below and following the guide.
Let’s explore.
1. Start a quote. Select “New Quote” from the dashboard.
2. Add a customer. Check out our resource center to learn more about automating financial details and CRM. Select “Shape” from the global action menu.
3. SecturaFAB offers 33 standard shapes. Choose from the existing shape library or fast track to learn more about editing and uploading your shapes here. For this example, let’s create a bar with holes.
4. After filling in the parameters for the shape, make edits to the width, number of holes, x-pitch, length, and diameter. Once these inputs are edited the image window will adjust to reflect the changes. Let’s change the number of holes to 7. Finally, select “New Line Item” to add it to your quote.
Editing and Uploading Shapes
1. In the settings menu, select “Shapes” from the Production settings.
2. To edit a shape's default parameters, select the hyperlinked name of the shape. Let’s edit the bar with holes to have 7 holes when it is selected for quoting.
3. Edit the default number of holes to 7. Here you are also able to download the shape file and make changes. Re-upload the file using “Update Script.” Finally, select “Done” to save changes.
4. Before adding a new shape, export an existing shape file in SecturaFAB for a template of how they are formatted. Highlight a shape and select “Export.”
5. Next, add a new shape, select “Add Shape.”
6. Use “Select Files” to import shape files into the shape library. Then, select “Done.”
