Discover SecturaFAB's welding operation and specialized calculator. Quickly quote for weld types such as fillet, bevel, square and more.
Let's explore how.
1. First you will need to quick add a weld operation. Learn more about how to use “quick add” for a welding operation in our resource center. After quick adding a weld operation you will be able to add it as a “Secondary Cost” to a line item. In this example, our operation is “Weld” and the equipment is “Weld.”
2. Starting with the type of weld needed, three calculators are provided depending on what you would like to quote for. In this example, we are using our specialized calculator for a fillet weld and do not need MIG or TIG. Deselect those options.
3. Choose from a list of weld types such as Bevel, Square, and more. For these parts, let’s use a fillet weld.
4. Complete the required information for the Fillet weld. After filling out the required parameters select “Add,” then “Add Operation.” The parameters are defined as:
- Weld Length: The overall length of the weld.
- Quantity: The number of welds needed.
- Size 1: The height of the weld.
- Size 2: The width of the weld.
- Angle: A degree of angle needed for the weld.
5. View the cost information for the weld. Learn more about editing costs in our resource center.
You have now can apply a welding calculator to your line items as a secondary cost. To learn more about how to create a MIG operation see our resource center.
