Reasons related to why your file type is not nesting or calculating correctly can be related to open contours, floating shapes, and other anomalies within your file not detected while using the CAD editor. If your file type contains a mix of linear and flat items, when adjusting properties after using the CAD editor, make sure you have chosen linear for linear items within the drop-down menu under the adjust properties table.
