If you have linear or plate products uploaded to your SecturaFab tenant, line items on a quote will be tied to the relevant product. If you would like your stock sizes to be reflected in the nesting options, you must enter them as configurations using these steps.
Note, if you utilize SecturaSync, please consult with your CS Rep before making any changes to your products.
1. Navigate to the product you would like to expand nesting options for. In this example, we will be adjusting the available sheet sizes for our 0.25 inch 3003 aluminum plate. Select the item and “Edit.”
2. Currently, there is only one available size, 48x96. Select “Add Configuration” to add a new size.
3. Selecting “Add Configuration” will trigger new fields to appear below the existing default configuration. Give this new size a relevant name and fill in the dimensions. For plates, this means the width and length. For linear items, this will only be the length. Only select a new cost if this configuration will be priced differently from the other configurations. Otherwise, the weight cost category for that material and thickness will be used. Additionally, only fill out the SKU and Location information if it is relevant to your business and tenant.
4. Repeat this process for as many configurations as required. When finished, select “Save” to complete.
5. The final step is to enable nested configurations in your product settings. In the setup tab, select “Quote Details.”
6. Once in Quote Details, scroll to the bottom of the page to edit the details, and set “Use Product Weight Cost” to “Yes.”
7. Now, when your line item is mapped to the newly edited product, all sheet configurations can be found when nesting. Simply select a different size to change the sheet used.
